Who remembers playing this game? You take a giant hammer (or mouse pointer in the digital age) and hit each mole that pops out of a hole back down into it. As soon as you hit one down another pops up somewhere else. Over and over. Pop! Whack! Pop! Whack! Pop! If you are lucky enough you get them all, but then they start popping up in multiple places at the same time and eventually you either succeed, or you miss too many and the game is over.

If there is one thing I have learned about life, it is that it gets complicated. There is a never ending to-do list, the pressure of feeling like you have to measure up to something, and drama that comes with family, friends and other social connections.
Luckily the older I have gotten the more I have learned to forgive myself and focus on priorities and what makes me happy. That may sound selfish, but if I am not happy then I certainly will not be able to take care of anyone else…

This weekend has been incredibly windy in the Northeast. Those of you who know me personally and have been to my house know that I have a living room full of large windows and a very curious cat named Achi. Any time there is a windy day, he spends it crouched low in front of the windows looking out at the various things blowing by – leaves, snow, dust, etc. He crouches low, running from one view to the next, trying hard to “stalk” the “prey” outside.
