In Search of Godly Intuition

Busyness is the enemy of Godly intuition.  In the middle of working on day 17 of the 21 Day Brain Detox this morning (focusing on Godly intuition) while feeling guilty that I was not using the time to get more done, I heard this statement.  It was not spoken audibly but it was definitely loud and clear.  Busyness is the enemy of Godly intuition!     On the surface this may seem like bad news to those of us who are on the front lines and in the trenches doing whatever we can to be about the…See More

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I first heard about 48day.net from the 48 days.com e-newsletter. From the 48days.com website I also found a great coach (Joel Boggess) and am now aware of my passion and calling. At this point I am doing whatever I can to cultivate them and trying to find my niche.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
Was employed fulltime (teaching at a chiropractic school)with benefits, but was reduced to part time with no benefits back in October of 2011. As of January 2011, I am back in chiropractic practice again and loving it.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I am a chiropractor who is working part time at my chiropractic alma mater and has just gone back into practice. I love it but I also have a passion for writing and for helping people to achieve optimal health through natural health and choosing a healthy lifestyle. This encompasses much more than chiropractic care and would involve everything from healthy diet and exercise to dealing with stress.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
Now that I am no longer working crazy full time hours and have a flexible practice, my goal is to be more present for my husband and my son especially since my baby is starting school this fall. I missed so many special moments of his preschool years due to an inflexible work schedule and I don't plan to miss anything else. I am also rediscovering friendships and my social life, which I buried for so long because I was always working and when I was not working I was tired. I want to go back to school (online) to become a health coach but need to build my practice up to the point where I can do it debt free. Also, had to put my student loan debt in forbearance when I was reduced to part time. My goal in building my practice and being able create income with my passion is to pay them off within 10 years instead of 25. To do a an online natural cooking show since I have been quite successful in giving a lot of otherwise unhealthy dishes healthy makeovers. The goal would also be to teach people especially moms how to shop for healthy natural foods without breaking the bank as well as how to cook from scratch instead of relying on processed foods.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
Good listener
Very nurturing
Able to see the big picture
Good adjuster
Creative thinker
Writer
Good cook and passionate about natural food alternatives
Encourager
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
http://No
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
Would love to finish some of the books I have started and put down due to excess busyness. I am also back in chiropractic practice afer 9 years and am located in Spartanburg, SC

I have a confession to make.  Even though I know in my heart that God is in control and He is not worried, I still struggle with worry.  "But wait," you say, "I thought this was supposed to be about good news."  It is.  But sometimes you have to endure the bad in order to completely appreciate and embrace the good and the sweet victory that can emerge from great struggles.  So hang in there with me because there actually is good news.

The bad news is as I got older I started to worry…

"Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.  Then you will experience God's peace which exceeds anything we can understand.  His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:6-7  (NLT)

One memory I will never forget as a young child is the voice of my dad, reassuring me whenever I was worried or afraid.  On such occasions he would always say, "Don't worry unless…

Dr. Delain - I have wanted to contact a few people about the Beyond Organic products, including you, but didn't want to seem pushy or "salesy".  You expressed some interest on my blog post and I'd love to email you Jordan Rubin's book Living Beyond Organic just so you might learn more.  If you would like me to, please just send me an email at ann.j.musico@gmail.com and I'll be thrilled to do so.

Hello Rochelle,

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, it sounds like you are interested in writing. If so, consider joining the Write It Forward. There are some great discussions going on that will likely be very profitable for you.

Plus, you might want to check out Speak It Forward as well. It's another group I'm involved with that has a lot of activity taking place.

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian

Rochelle, thanks for sharing your heart. Yes the trials of life have a way smothering who we are, but rest assured that the childlike nature is still there. That part of us never dies; now it's about chipping away at the muck that leaves us doubtful. Just remember we are people of faith by nature. Faith is already there. We don't need to increase faith, but remove disbelief. It's time to ignite that flame, and I'm here if you need anything...

Blessings, ~Rob
