How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I have become involved with 48 days to the work you love as a facilitator at my church after reading the book and No More Mondays. I like to encourage and empower others but like very practical tools for doing so and this program really fit the bill.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I have been a school counselor in an elementary school for 17 years. I enjoy teaching and encouraging children and adults to recognize and achieve their dreams. Also, I love to write and have recently published a children's book that is useful in a counseling /elementary school setting . I am currently working on publishing additional children's books and an a devotional book for adults.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I would like to develop my talents as a speaker. At present this is my main focus as I develop a website, topics for speaking and marketing.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I have two wonderful daughters, ages 23 and 26 who are the light of my life. I try to fulfill the role of an encouraging and inspirational mom.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
optimistic and positive outlook
creative problem solver
open to learning new things
love to write and speak

Are Your Possessions Stealing Your Energy?

Lately my days have been filled with relocating my mother-in-law to a nursing home and cleaning out the apartment she has lived in for almost twenty years. It has been a sad and frustrating job. Fiercely independent, stubborn and increasingly forgetful, she has clung to the familiarity and security of her apartment even when it was no longer safe or reasonable for her to continue to live there.

My Seven Top Selling Secrets!

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 1:21pm 2 Comments

One aspect of being a writer and an author that I initially hated and feared was selling and marketing my books.  In the beginning I was one of those people who said, "I can't sell anything."  However if you produce a product, eventually you want to share it with others and unless you can afford to give it away, you will need to learn how to best promote and sell it.  I've written about this many other…
