Just waiting to see what happens?

One thing I’ve spent a lot of time talking with individual clients, schools and businesses about is setting goals.  If that makes you sigh with frustration, I bet you’ve been required to meet a sales goal or a self improvement goal or something similar at work and you might be thinking, “What’s wrong with…See More

Been doing it too long to change now?

Have you ever said,  “I’ve been doing it this way too long to change”?I recently decided to learn a new sport:  pickle ball.  I attended my first impromptu lesson at a pickle ball free play court last week.  A visiting player and pickle ball instructor showed me the basics and encouraged me to learn the game.…See More

Profile Information

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I have become involved with 48 days to the work you love as a facilitator at my church after reading the book and No More Mondays. I like to encourage and empower others but like very practical tools for doing so and this program really fit the bill.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I have been a school counselor in an elementary school for 17 years. I enjoy teaching and encouraging children and adults to recognize and achieve their dreams. Also, I love to write and have recently published a children's book that is useful in a counseling /elementary school setting . I am currently working on publishing additional children's books and an a devotional book for adults.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I would like to develop my talents as a speaker. At present this is my main focus as I develop a website, topics for speaking and marketing.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I have two wonderful daughters, ages 23 and 26 who are the light of my life. I try to fulfill the role of an encouraging and inspirational mom.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
optimistic and positive outlook
creative problem solver
open to learning new things
love to write and speak
enthusiastic
I am high S and C

Getting Clarity is Hard

Posted on May 29, 2017 at 8:15am 2 Comments

Prior to each coaching session with a client, I send a clarity tool to complete and return to me beforehand.  In a recent session, a client told me what a struggle it is for her to complete the tool each time. “You should write a blog about that form,” she said.  “I put off filling it out…

Hi, Lynne. Thank you for inviting me to join your group. I just returned from the Coaching With Excellence workshop this weekend. I have a lot to ponder! My problem is that I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none. As I was in that coaching seminar I made a list of about 12-15 different topics I could coach. I have a very specific target market in mind for each. Now the narrowing down and focusing begins!

Thank you, Lynne, for your warm welcome.  A Called Women sounds really interesting and seems to be a group I would really like to join.  I will do so as soon as I get my profile information completed.  I look forward to learning a lot from all of you and hopefully helping just as many of you!

Hi Lynne, I am working on an E-book.   How did you create yours?   Did you use Amazon's Createspace?  Or do you have any suggestions?   I'd appreciate insights.   I have one book Erasing Adversity published a couple years ago, but want to go a different route than actually self publishing in print.  Linda

Hi Lynne and thank you for the warm welcome! Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I just finished reading "Networking for Introverts" and it really spoke to my heart! I am an introvert with a passion for teaching. I'll be attending the Coaching with Excellence May 12-13 and your article was right on time! I look forward to reading all your posts and getting to know you and the other members of the 48days community!
