“What Do You Want to Do?” and the Bigger Question

As creatives, “What do you want to do?” is one of the biggest questions we face. Every time a project is put to bed there is a void that needs to be filled as we slip from what’s finished to what’s next. Selecting our projects is really important. After all, we only have so many hours in a day and we want them to be as productive as possible. The last project is done, what do we do next? The question can be daunting and we need to be careful. It’s easy to let ourselves become overwhelmed with…See More

What Do You Think of This?

Imagine this for your church or gathering. Saturday starts with a "paint party" where your people can learn to paint their very own acrylic painting. Then we have a Saturday evening creative arts ministry presentation that shares the Gospel and challenges your people to use their gifts and talents to serve the Lord. Finish it up with me bringing a…See More

We Tried That...

Excerpted from my blog AMOKArts.com

Okay, I will admit, while I try not to get frustrated, there is one thing that will always put me over the edge. You get an idea, you present it and someone says, "We tried that..." The implication being that, "We did it. It failed. We're never doing that again." I hope people don't approach their whole lives like that.

Now I will admit, there is such a thing as knowing when to quit. Every day…

I read nearly every day and rarely miss my time with the Word (usually on travel days, when I have to leave early and drive long). That being said, there was a time not too many years ago when my time in the Word was stagnate and my love for…
