Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.
I went to college AND I graduated. I am smart and I focused and graduated on time. Eight semesters and no summer school. Now, I'm not going to talk about college as a whole right now, that's for another blog. There is a phrase that college (AND LOTS OF MONEY) is wasted on the young. Again, I'll talk about that at another time.
So, back on track here.....
As we enter 2012 you will have to give the work you love, that old college try. The phrase "old college try" means "A vigorous, committed attempt or effort." Another definition means "a zealous all-out effort". Wow, what would really happen to the work you love if you indeed gave it "a vigorous, committed attempt or effort," and added some zeal in there too?
I know what you happen. Your life would change. You will come away with a sense of accomplishment you have not seen before.
You are on the way now. I know it, and you know it. If that were not the case you would not be reading this information.
Now, how can we all give our effort that "old college try"?
1. Integrate the work you love into your life so that it becomes more and more of who you are.
2. Do the work. Be intentional. Be smart. Stay creative. Use wisdom.
3. Plan to succeed. Do not take no for an answer.
