Doesn't It Seem Like Statism Is A Religion?

Statism is the combination of ego-driven interventionism along with ego-driven interpretation. It is an illness not a religion!

The science of economics has been corrupted by ego-driven interpreters and religion has been corrupted by ego-driven interpreters.

It is the corruption and disruption of the natural processes of human civilization by the ego-driven interventionists under the influence of the ego-driven interpreters which constitutes…

Three Places You Will Find Success

The starting point of all achievement is desire. | Napoleon Hill

People have different definitions of success. The dictionary defines it as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. I don't think I've ever met anyone who admitted to not wanting to achieve success. I have, however, met a lot of people who didn't know how to find it. So, here are three places…

Time is Not an Illusion - Bonus material from The Immense Center

This is a portion of The Immense Center that did not make it into the final book. Not because I felt it wasn’t good, but because I felt it interfered with the pacing. The characters are the narrator, Gabe,…

Win the Battle in Your Mind

“Do you experience accusations and taunts in your mind when you drive home from Bible study? If so, please raise your hands.” Hands went up all around the room when I asked that question at a recent luncheon.

Do you edit the thoughts that run through your mind? Besides your spirit, the Holy Spirit, the world, the flesh, and the devil can plant ideas and thoughts in our heads.…

How I Became Too Blessed To Be Stressed (and How You Can Do the Same!

How many of us go through each day, dreading the inevitable job termination or the imminent fight with a spouse.  Then, almost like magic, we have a fight with our spouse, or we lose our job.  We then think, “Yep, I knew it, my life is going to hell in a hand basket!”.  It’s almost like we are…

Three Reasons You Don't Remember What You Learned

He who learns but does not think, is lost! He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger. | Confucius

God Help Me! I’m Broke! Prayer for Financial Help

Bring up the topic of money, and everyone has an opinion. The government should do more – or is doing too much already. “Income inequality” is the fault of greedy major corporations – or the fault of people who don’t take personal responsibility and work hard enough. God promises that His children will be rewarded with material blessings – or He is more pleased with those…

Health and Healing: Update on my Healing Journey

It has now been a little over 6 months since the original surgery. Slowly but surely I have gotten back to normal and regained my health and strength. About 6 weeks after the 2nd surgery to reattach my colon, I had to schedule a colonoscopy so the surgeon could be sure my entire colon was truly healthy.

Courage Plus Change Equals Freedom

Change is hard, really hard. Especially when it comes to personal change.  It takes courage. First, you have to admit the need for change and this is where many people get stuck.  We like our comfort zone, we know it and it’s predictable; it’s easier to stay in it and stay miserable than to work to make our situations better. Not that we don’t want better, we…

Takin' Care of Business

This song by Bachman Turner Overdrive is the definitive song about entrepreneurship. It's about the lure of owning your own business, where you can “work at nothing all day.” For many, that lure means setting your own hours, only doing the things you enjoy doing and leaving the rest of the work behind.

How realistic is that though? If you're in business for yourself, you know (or should know) that the work involved in the daily ventures is…
