We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

First real entry...

Hello all, hope that business is going well (or will be going well).

I wanted to just post an introductory entry about me and my endeavor and some of the questions that I have - feel free to respond as you want to, praise and criticism are equally accepted.

I'm starting a business called Graduate With Success which is based a lot on the model that Dan Miller has going except I'd like my greatest effort to be as a speaker.  I've got several products (a book, a manual and a…

Managing Time

As my life continues to get busier and I attempt to take on more projects, I’ve been trying to figure out how to fit it all into the 168 hours we have each week to work with.  Here’s a little math to break down each approximate week:

Sleep: 56 hours

Work: 45 hours

Commute: 3 hours

Meals/Cooking:  21 hours

Getting “Ready”:  7 hours

Exercise:  4 hours

Cleaning:  2 hours

Those are the “absolutes” that cannot be cut from my life.  So far we…

Why DoesThat Icon Keep Bouncing Around?

I own a MacBook Pro.  I have to tell you, “I LOVE MY COMPUTER!”  I will never own anything but an Apple computer.  I am not being paid to say so, but if you don’t have a MacBook, you should purchase one for yourself.

Recently, though, I noticed this little red icon at the bottom of the screen that is jumping up and down.  It is the computer equivalent of a child screaming, “ME! ME! ME!”  Now if it were a child demanding my attention, I might have a few words to say.  Something…

April Babies

I published this on my personal blog and wanted to share it here as well.

This wasn't the normal kind of crying I have ever experienced while watching a movie.

Yesterday afternoon Julie and I sat down with our two oldest daughters to watch October Baby.

Julie, Lydia and Jessica went to watch it in the theater last fall and loved it. I knew I would enjoy it as well, but I was not prepared for…

Have you become a resentful giver?

Even though it is only September, you can see the holidays rolling inexorably towards us. Thanksgiving decorations are already appearing in the stores, and the Miller's annual Christmas Open House has been scheduled.

While you may give of your time, talent and money year round, the requests and needs tend to ramp up over the next few months as the holidays settle in for the season.

This is a great time to do a personal giving check. Are you a cheerful giver, or have you become…

Are You Open to Receive?

I don’t know how it began, but one day I found myself saying, “Lord, I receive your love today.” It felt good. I pictured soaking up rays of Son-shine and felt my body relax. God is love and loves us all the time, yet sometimes we don’t receive His love. That made me wonder what other blessings am I missing because I don’t receive them. And why don’t I receive them?

Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, or we might say He’s the…
