Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.
Recently I was at small gathering of people to celebrate a birthday. Across the table from me was a man in our community who collects and sells scrap metal. Since I am interested in having a side gig myself, I asked him about his venture and he was quite willing to share. I learned that he drives through neighborhoods on garbage day, or the night before garbage day, to see what is out at the curb. Anything at the edge of the road is fair game. He doesn't pay for anything he takes. He looks…Continue

Years ago while working on the ambulance, I had a paramedic student doing several ride outs with me. He was about halfway through his program which means he had just enough information to be dangerous. We responded to a call on someone having trouble breathing. As we walked in the patient’s daughter informed us that her mom was on hospice and would be dead any day. As she watched life slip away she panicked. The hospice company did a poor job preparing her and she could not take things…Continue
For over 10 years I have been traveling to Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, and Austria to conduct training and empowerment conferences for front-line leaders. This happens to be one of the most fulfilling and rewarding things God has allowed us to be a part of. In these eastern European nations, there is a real hunger for teaching,…Continue

A few weeks ago, I posted this statement to my Facebook page and got quite a response:
“If you want to be a Naptime CEO, you cannot simply accept the world’s definition of success, you need to create your own definition of success.”

All to often, people who want to start a business are afraid to…Continue
Each day is an opportunity to move forward, to move back, or to stay right where you are. One of the things that can determine whether you decide to move in any direction at all is your perception of the successes you experience in life. If you feel as though you are being successful your tendency will be to keep moving forward, to climb higher mountains.
But what about when you are not moving forward and you are either moving back or staying right where you are?…Continue
