Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

Where the Healing Begins

Have you ever been asked to do the impossible? Like forgive and love the man who murdered your father? God gave Laurie Coombs that assignment. He then equipped her to do it. Her story was featured in Billy Graham’s film, Heaven. Her book, Letters from My Father’s Murderer: A Journey of Forgiveness, came out…

It felt like the longest drive I have taken in my life. Yet it was only 160 kilometers long.

Non-Conformists Tend To Independently Investigate the Truth.

Statists are those individuals who have come to believe (mostly because of continuous exposure to State-controlled 'education' and State-controlled media) that humankind needs an ego-driven institution to run the affairs of humanity or else 'all hell will break loose.'

Please do not be offended; most people on planet Earth (in these, the Dark Ages of economics) see the world through this lens of the ideology of statism.

The challenge is to be a…

Finding Freedom Through Trying New Things

Last weekend I tried a few new things:

  • I took over as my church’s Children’s Education Director, and I did my first run-through by myself: getting the curriculum, crafts, and team ready-starting to implement a few small changes.
  • I did my first adventure run-we did Foam Fest a few years ago, but that…

A Simple Secret to a Thriving Marriage

A couple that exfoliates together – stays together.

That’s actually not a hard truth. That’s actually not true at all. Skin care is important (I’ve been told), but it has nothing to do with growing a healthy marriage. It’s just something that came to me when I looked at this…

Healthy Boundaries: “Should” You Push Yourself or Rest?

This may seem like a no-brainer for most people but for those first born among us and who are also type A personalities, always pushing ourselves and used to being able to do whatever we put our minds to – this is a very real dilemma.

When I was first out of the hospital and as well as weeks past…

One Simple Trick to Start Decluttering Now

Decluttering can be a daunting process, especially if you have a lot of excess items hanging around. Sometimes just thinking about how much there is to look through and the decisions that will have to be made around each item can be enough to keep you from starting to begin with! One thing I have learned over time is that you really just have to start. If you don’t take action, nothing will ever happen (more on that in a future blog post). So what is the easiest way to start?…

How does a great Math Prof begin his lectures?

Dr Rule was a professor at UTN who unlocked Mathematics for my Dad. His course was called mathematical analysis.  The things Dr Rule taught my father, my father in turn taught me.  I asked my Dad to tell me about his classes.  What resulted was a series of notes that I will be sharing with you in the next few blog posts.
First lecture, Dr Rule said this to the college age people in his class:
  • He told us…
