Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.
If you’re new to the 48Days.net community – welcome. This is an amazing group of people who are not content with mediocrity in their work – or anywhere in their lives. You’ll find the members here share their resources and expertise willingly and also share your excitement when you succeed.
We are seeing an explosion of books being published, speakers being booked, coaches filling their schedules, artists finding new ways to market their work, musicians leveraging their talent and creative businesses from podcasting to dry cleaning pickup to muscle car restoration being launched successfully.
I’m thrilled as I see more people who are finding their true calling and applying that in work that is meaningful, purposeful – and profitable. If you’re still in that process, be encouraged; you can do what many others here have done.
Each week we feature some of our favorite forum discussions, blogs, groups and members in the Notes on the front page. Please note that those who are featured and highlighted are always selected from those who have a clear picture, are active here in this community and are adding valuable content in some way. No magic or inside track – those are the things we look for.
This week we're highlighting:
Featured Discussion – Johnny Lee says It's Time to plan, focus, and execute. Johnny says when he was young he loved playing the guitar, but even though he was pretty good, well-meaning people around him said his likely future was to be a “starving artist.” So he put his guitar down and started work he has never loved. At 33 he’s rethinking the bad advice of not following his passion.
Featured Blog -- You Must Be 21 to Enter How you perceive something is truth for you. If you become completely attached to any outcome – in other words, things MUST go according to your exact plan, then when (notice I didn’t say “if”) things don’t go exactly as you planned, you will be tempted to just give up. Well Jeff David shares a personal illustration and encourages us to go with the flow! And now he’s convinced It's time to plan, focus, and execute. What do you all think?
Featured Group – Raun Lauterbach heads up our pretty new group Earning on eBay. This group explores ways to earn extra cash or build a business not only on eBay, but also on Amazon, Etsy or other online sites. Frankly, I’m surprised there are not at least 2000 people in this group. This is an excellent way to learn everything you need to learn about business without having to build it from the ground up. I’m a member and I value the information I’m learning here.
Featured Member -- Our featured member this week is Matthew Casteel from Mesa, AZ. I just saw Matthew at Kent Julian’s Speaker Bootcamp in Atlanta and was blown away with the business Matthew has grown in just one year. Last year at the Bootcamp Matthew invited me to lunch to tell me about his business idea. I told him he was too unfocused and that I wasn’t too optimistic about the business model he was proposing. This year he gave me an update on iHelpYouLaunch that blew me away. He now has clear options, 15 virtual assistants working full time and is generating net profits most of you are still dreaming of. Check out what Matthew’s been doing – iHelpYouLaunch.
Now's the time to be planning what you want your 2013 to look like. Decide in advance, make a plan and bring it to life. Have a spectacular week - Dan Miller
