Aristotle once said – “To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.” Yes, you can make sure you never get any criticism in this community by following that formula. But I’m sure the “be nothing” part of that quotation bothers you as it does me. So jump in the game – add your opinion, share your advice, be open about your struggles and in the process you will become something.
If you’re new to the 48Days.net community – welcome. This is an amazing group of people who are not content with mediocrity in their work – or anywhere in their lives. You’ll find the members here share their resources and expertise willingly and also share your excitement when you succeed.
We are seeing an explosion of books being published, speakers being booked, coaches filling their schedules, artists finding new ways to market their work, musicians leveraging their talent and creative businesses from podcasting to dry cleaning pickup to muscle car restoration being launched successfully.
I’m thrilled as I see more people who are finding their true calling and applying that in work that is meaningful, purposeful – and profitable. If you’re still in that process, be encouraged; you can do what many others here have done.
Each week we feature some of our favorite forum discussions, blogs, groups and members in the Notes on the front page. Please note that those who are featured and highlighted are always selected from those who have a clear picture, are active here in this community and are adding valuable content in some way. No magic or inside track – those are the things we look for.
This week we're highlighting:
Featured Discussion – Farnoosh Brock obviously touched a hot spot with her post – What keeps you in a miserable job? Wow – members shared freely that student loans, lack of clarity, no dreams, low self-esteem, and fear are the things that keep them in a miserable job. Farnoosh has some free videos and is also offering her Smart Exit Blueprint Class to help make the transition – to another job or another form of work where you won’t be miserable. Don’t settle for less.
Featured Blog -- Dreaming Big "So what do cars have to do with focusing on your goals and dreaming big dreams? Scott Moore has a pretty unique take on this. He said, “I used to expect Honda Civics. That was about the level of success I could imagine.” It all comes down to expectations and they are powerful. A car show got Scott dreaming and all fired up to enlarge his expectations. It was a great reminder to me that I will only get what I’m expecting. How about you? How big are your expectations?
Featured Group – Raun Lauterbach heads up one of our newest groups – Earning on eBay. There was a former group but the originator moved into a new career. This group replaces that one. I often tell people the easiest way to test a business idea is to jump on eBay. It’s a no risk opportunity to promote your product in the biggest commerce system in the world. You get the entire infrastructure without having to deal with any of the front-end logistics. And of course there are still people making extraordinary amounts of money monthly by doing nothing but having an eBay presence. I’m surprised we don’t have 2000 members in this group, learning and sharing this powerful system.
Featured Member – our featured member this week is Ann Musico from Wallkill, NY. Ann is an author, Certified Biblical Health Coach, wife and mother of “three exceptional children.” Because of her valued contributions to this community we asked Ann to join our 48Days.net Advisory Team about a year ago. She graciously accepted and now along with Rob Clinton monitors the blog activity here. Check out her health focus on her Three Dimensional Vitality site.
