Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
Podcast, I hope to bounce my ideas off like-minded people as well as learn from the community and receive and offer feedback.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I want to start my own business.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
I want to continue on the path I am on. Continue to grow my family and stay involved in the activities we enjoy currently.
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
I enjoy starting things, I love the process of having an idea, and putting it into motion.
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:

So much of life is predicated on a promise of someday.

We date because someday we’ll find that special someone. We get an education and a degree because someday we’re going to have a career and make a living. We write journals because someday we’re going to look back on our words and realize how far we’ve come.

The flaw in waiting for our someday is that it takes us out of the present. We set our sights an someday and never deviate from that course, because someday it will pay…

The cost of fear.

We have a wood burning stove in our home. It is one of my favorite things in our house. We have our reading chair sitting next to it, and I enjoy sitting here to read and meditate in my spare time.

Lately though, my peaceful little corner has been intruded upon. Birds have been exploring the inside of our chimney and several of them have been unable to escape. The sound is horrible, they screech and scratch and flail their wings in fear. The poor lost birds are disoriented and anxious…

Giver of the day: Mike Myers

No not that Mike Myers.

Michael Lynn Myers was born in Southern Illinois in 1950. He was raised in poverty, lost both parents at a young age, got drafted, and spent much of his young adult life traveling around the country taking odd jobs. He met my mom in Colorado Springs in the early 1970's and soon after convinced her to marry him.

Mike Myers is my dad.

He is also the father to my 5 brothers and 3 sisters. If you have 9 children in your family people ask "from 1…

Giver of the day: Thomas Siebel

Thomas Siebel is a computer science and engineering genius. He has leveraged his talents in this arena into a successful and extremely lucrative career. He sits on boards at universities such as Stanford, Princeton, and Cal Berkeley. And yet, somehow Thomas has found time to be a giver. Siebel supports many notable and worthy causes which has landed him near the top of every philanthropist list there is. I wish to outline a project I have seen in motion. A project which I have seen do much…

Thanks for the request to connect.  I enjoyed your blog and your thoughts.  There is a saying "some people give and forgive, others get and forget." Great to see how many "givers" you profile.
