You Only Get the "A"

Comment by Nate Schubick on May 3, 2012 at 3:14pm Oh how accurate this is. Great post. Some interesting things to chew on. To quote the skateboard movie grind about chasing dreams they ask their leader Eric if now is when theres angels and a choir and eric rivers jumps up and says he has a plan. Those little moments are what it is about. When your preparation meets its potential. Again great post and neat insights from others
Comment by Ann Musico on May 3, 2012 at 12:47pm Beautiful, insightful post - I love that statement: a man does what he can until his destiny is revealed to him. I believe as we take each step God shows us the next part of the step. That equation has proved to be very true in my life, I must way. Great post.

Dan -- To answer your question and taking from Habit 2 of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People...Begin with the End in Mind...B & C become specific things (milestones) once D is identified and a course is charted to get to it. I will say that it is very important for people to be intentional, but open and flexible to the process of getting to D. Some things may change along the way. For example, little did I know that a woman I met in April would lead to me walking on a 125-acre ranch, Spirit Reins (www.spiritreins.org), today. During my time in nature and walking amongst horses, God gave me another piece of the puzzle and that is to add a women's ministry component to OnPoint. What does this look like? Not really sure just yet, but I know that as I move forward God will give me the B & C on my way to D in regards to this new calling. I hope this answers your question and thanks again for your comment.

Comment by Rick Seigmund on May 3, 2012 at 11:35am Alicia, great post! And congratulations on your one year! It is good to see you “making your mark” right here.
Comment by Dan Miller on May 3, 2012 at 8:29am Alicia - oh I love this post. Just curious - in the formula you use A + B + C = D if God gives us the A and the D is our destiny, do you have the B & C identified as specific things?
In one of my favorite movies of all time - A Knight's Tale - a pivotal moment is when the lead character says "A man can change his stars."
