There has been a lot of people talking about the book, "The $100 Startup" by Chris Guillebeau. I have the book on hold at the library and I have read some of the introduction at Amazon. Several people have written blog posts and recorded podcasts to discuss it and endorse it.
From what I understand, the author is trying to say that we all have a business within us and to launch that business we don't need another degree or a bank loan. We simply need to take action and build it.
This idea is very comforting for me. I would like to start my own business. To make the decisions and to build something of my own is very appealing. I seem to be a person who could handle a business as I am dedicated, mature, and responsible.
Yet, coming up with the idea is still the challenge. I am searching my brain and asking questions but there just doesn't seem to be anything to go on. I am a process person who likes to find his groove and work it. I like to keep things neat and presentable. Except for balancing someones checkbook or organizing their office, I simply don't have any fresh ideas as to what I can uniquely offer the market place.
Maybe after actually reading the book, something will come to mind.
