Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.
Psalm 127:1 says 'Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." This isn't just true about houses, it's also very true of ministries. The Lord is the source of our strength and must be at the forefront of everything we do. This means that our ministries must be bathed in prayer. I will be the first one to confess that in seasons of busyness, I can be quick to work and slow to pray and the truth is I can still come up with some good stuff. Here's why that's a problem.
First, it could be just me: The stuff I'm creating might be coming out of my own wisdom. Now God gave me that wisdom so this stuff could still come out okay, but it won't necessarily be powerful and anointed. It'll just be nice stuff, and I've come too far to just be doing nice stuff. I want the anointing on my work (and my life). You should too.
Second, it could be going in the wrong direction: Only the Lord knows the right thing all the time. Again if I was just creating for me, this might not be a problem but I am not just creating for myself, I am leading large groups of people. I'm leading a ministry and I am not enough to do that on my own, also I never want to lead anyone in the wrong direction. I am accountable to God for the direction of my ministry (His ministry).
Third, I know there are times where I succeed purely because of the love of God: In other words I am going in my own wisdom and strength and He anoints it, not because I deserve it but because He takes over and prevents me from going astray. While I love Him for that, I never want to be disconnected from Him, but especially not in the realm of ministry. I want to create (and minister) out of being completely in sync with the ultimate Creator. I want everything I do to be important to the Kingdom. After all this is ultimately His ministry.
Your ministry is His too.
Don't labor in vain. Stay connected to the source of your power.
