Here is a tip that I heard came from Jerry Seinfeld originally. One of the most important things a writer needs to do is write and to be consisitent. The idea is to get a calendar and every day you write you mark a big RED X on that day's date. You continue and you try not to lbreak the change. It will be your natural tendency not to want to break the chain. Of course it became obvious to me how a person could use this technique for a number of other things besides writing. I think this is powerful because it develops a habit of productive behavior.
