This is a story told about a young salesmen many years ago and it was under the heading of going the extra mile. It was raining one day and an elderly lady went into a furniture store and the experienced salesmen knew they were not going to make a sale to her ,so they passed her off to a young inexperienced salesman. As expected she told the young man she was not there to buy on this day. His attitude toward her did not change and he was courteous and kind to her. A while later the woman came in and made a large purchase of furniture to furnish her son, Andrew Carnegie's castle and the young man who was kind to her on that rainy day got the commission on the sale.
