You just put into words why I feel compelled to cut pictures out of magazines or save them from beautiful calendars "for no reason." That's the reason - they resonate with me and cause an emotional response. The picture in your post actually just brings to mind being superficial - not getting my roots deeply enough in truth. It's really beautiful and really deep.
