Hello 48days friends,
It's been a long and challenging journey for me this past year as I've pursued my certification as a Career Development Practitioner and I am truly grateful for all the help and encouragement I have received from so many along the way. Many of the assignments I completed throughout the year required that I send out questions, surveys, requests for volunteer clients, and conduct interviews. Many of you responded to those requests and gave of your time and expertise and for that I am truly grateful. I'm pleased to report that through this process some of the people I met with were even able to secure employment or made important changes to, or decisions about, their employment situation. My program is now complete and I achieved the highest marks I have ever achieved in my life - I have many of you to thank for helping me with this achievement.
What's next for me now that I've completed the program? Well, it's ironic that I've been able to assist others in securing employment but not do the same for myself, but it's only been a week since I wrapped things up so I'm hopeful my own employment situation will change soon as well. I've been taking some time to tidy up loose ends, reorganize the home office, catch up on paperwork, fix the car, get a bit more sleep and exercise, spend some time with family, and even crack the spine on a good novel. But the job search is my new priority and I've begun to accelerate that process. Very soon I'll be rebuilding my blog, establishing a new social media strategy, doing more networking and hopefully getting more involved again with 48days.
In the weeks ahead I'll be posting updates on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn but for now I just wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped me in any way achieve my goal - I am indebted to you and wouldn't have made it without your support and encouragement.
