Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

So much of life is predicated on a promise of someday.

We date because someday we’ll find that special someone. We get an education and a degree because someday we’re going to have a career and make a living. We write journals because someday we’re going to look back on our words and realize how far we’ve come.

The flaw in waiting for our someday is that it takes us out of the present. We set our sights an someday and never deviate from that course, because someday it will pay off.

We sacrifice the moment for a far off goal we hope to achieve, someday. The thoughts of someday causes us to guard ourselves from moments of spontaneity, instead we forego risk and tough choices because someday we’ll be glad we did. It begs the question; why aren’t we happy with that decision now? Why are we waiting for someday to validate the decisions we are making right now? Shouldn’t we be happy with our lives every day?

What would happen if we left someday open on our schedules and just took care of right now?

Great post, Dallan!  I believe we do need to let go of someday.  I've heard it all and I even said something along of the lines of "When I have this, get that, marry her, achieve that.....then I will blah blah blah!"  I've said those things a lot and well, maybe someday I'll stop.  I like how you came with concept of what if "someday" was planned.  What if it was today, tomorrow, or on the 14th of August.  How much more will be to the thing we want or reaching our potential.
