Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

This year has been a big one for me. I've been fighting the resistance from inside and out to put forth something worthwhile and productive from my life. I've been asking myself what "shipping" looks like in the different prioritized areas of my life.

As my Twitter bio says: Pursuing a Balanced Life #PABL of Productivity & Peace in Faith, Marriage, Fatherhood, Social Media, Podcast & Video Production.

In each of these areas I have been outlining standards of what 'the point' is and steps to reach what my ideal is for each of these priorities in my life. In some of them, it's a tangible goal, in others, it can only be measured in feedback from others after I put in the time, energy and hard work necessary.

My questions to you this Monday morning are: Have you set out your priorities? Have you stepped back to name what success looks like for each of those areas? What measurement are you using, and what steps have you put in place or are you taking to ensure that success? And finally, How much do you want that success? Enough to do something about it?

I need to sit down and map out my priorities like you have written about here. I've been so busy doing busy work today, I don't believe I have worked on the really important items. Thanks for the reminder!

I came upon those focus areas by looking at what I was repeatedly frustrated with in the past, and what I continually was spending my time on consciously or neglecting by accident. As those catagories appear is the order they are in priority for me, and by taking care of them in that order, I find that when the more important stuff has been taken care of, the items of lesser importance down the list are put in better perspective, and I have more time for them as well.

That's a good focus for the beginning of the week.

In Dan's books, he shows his life pillars as being Career, Financial, Social, Family, Physical, Personal Development and Spiritual. How did you come to focus on Faith, Marriage, Fatherhood, Social Media, and Podcast & Video Production? How do you find balance between all of those areas?
