This week I completed another milestone with my publishing. I purchased the ISBN/bar code for my book, Home Should Be Safe: Hope and Help for Domestic Violence Victims. It's already in the Licking County Public Library in Licking County, OH and will soon be in local book stores and on Amazon.com. I've been busy this summer leading two writers' groups and teaching some writing classes.

Thanks so much for the well wishes. I've sent my ISBN information to my graphic designer who will have the changes back to me this week. She was just pulling out of her drive way to go on vacation when she saw my email. I don't ever want to interrupt someone's hard earned vacation. I am making a few small changes to the text and then I'll be sending the whole thing to my book packager to have my file set up fresh and then I'll order a new shipment of books. Then, I'll be contacting libraries, independent book stores, social service agencies, victim advocate offices and shelters to see who would be interested. I'm working on a new promotional plan  now that I've taken this new step. I'm also looking into some fund raising to get my small publishing company started, such as Kickstarter.
