Even if you aren’t ready to go into organization mode and set up a filing system, everyone should have a written list of important documents. This list can really be a huge help in case of an emergency. The list should contain all of the pertinent information, such as Account Number, Contact Name, Phone Number, Web Addresses, etc. However, I don’t recommend keeping your account passwords on this document, but someone should know where they can find them. Below are some of the things you should include on your Important Documents List:
UPDATE: Make sure you update this information at least once per year – maybe on your birthday. Also update this information if you have had significant life changes, such as relocation, marital status or job change.
WALLET: In addition to keeping a list of your important documents, keep a copy of what is in your wallet (front and back) so the items can be easily cancelled and/or replaced if your wallet is lost or stolen.
2Kings 20 – 1 In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the LORD: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.’” (NKJV) Read 2Kings 20Have a Victorious Day! Marianne
