Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.
You can reach your goal today – and if you do not continue making the healthy choices meal by meal, in two weeks that “perfect” body could be not-so-perfect any more!! Or you can celebrate and just start eating whatever you want to – and again – there goes all your hard work! What you did to get to this point of achieving your goal is exactly what you have to continue to do if you want to keep it and enjoy the benefits of it!
I suggest you keep a meal log daily (page 4 of Today’s the Day) while you are in the process of losing weight. Then, continue when you are maintaining – I do! Every day. As a matter of fact, according to the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics those who do this one simple thing lose 6 lbs. more on average.
Do I want to exercise each day? NO!! Many days (sometimes most days) I simply force myself to just do it. If I start skipping a day or two here and there – it quickly becomes a problem, so I don’t even entertain it!
Every single thing you did to finally get to this point, you will have to continue for the rest of your life, assuming you want to stay healthy and fit. So instead of focusing in on the “end” of a journey that never really ends – focus on the daily choices and celebrate them. Is it always going to be easy and smooth sailing – No, of course not. I’d be lying if I said it was. Will the effort pay off in the end and be worth it – resoundingly YES!
In the end, healthy living (being strong, energetic, healthy and full of life) and all those things you have to do to achieve and maintain it, is its own reward.
If you are in the process of losing weight or trying to maintain healthy weight – do you keep a food log?
