"Natural Bug Repellent"~GREEN Inspirations~April 30, 2011

No matter how clean you keep your home, insects such as spiders, ants, flies etc can find their way in...The most natural way to repel these invaders is with natural products such as herbs/spices (yes, the kind you cook with)...We all know that Bay Leaves will rid your pantry/kitchen of several types of "bugs" so place fresh, whole leaves in kitchen drawers, flour/sugar containers or on shelves in your pantry...Several other herbs/spices that work well are Cloves, Mint Leaves (crushed) or Cinnamon...This natural method of repelling "bugs" has been around for a long time and it's much safer to use around food/pets/people...Hint: If you don't want to spread the Mint Leaves or Cinnamon in the drawers/on shelves, use Mint or Cinnamon "flavored" tea bags instead.
