I had brain surgery this weekend!
In last week’s post entitled “God Loves Sinners”, I talked about how we shouldn’t condemn others for their sins because Jesus didn’t condemn sinners. I said that we are forgiven through the blood of Jesus. For those who are in Christ, God does NOT condemn us and God does NOT hold our sins against us.
Unfortunately, even though we are forgiven by God, we can still be living with guilt, condemnation and shame because of our past sins. Although I was preaching a message of love and forgiveness, I had not received it myself regarding my past divorces that happened more than a decade ago, prior to my relationship with Jesus.
I didn’t even realize that I wrote, “I am divorced”. Imagine my husband’s surprise when he read that!

I almost used Romans 12- 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God, but I really wanted to focus the fact taht we are all sinners, but we can be made righteous through Christ.
Have a Victorious Day!

I agree with that measurement, Marianne! Those are the longest 12 inches!
Many thanks for joining me in prayer and for shining with God's joy! I appreciate your faithful service to the Lord's Kingdom.
May His blessings abound to you as you walk victoriously in Him!

I've heard it said that the distance from our head to our heart is the longest 12 inches in the world. I agree with you in prayer that His truth will penetrate our souls so we can replace those negative messages.
Enjoy your victory in Jesus!
Marianne
Marianne, thank you for faithfully sharing God's Word! May the truth of His forgiveness flow from our minds into our hearts; may this truth penetrate our souls such that we will replace "DIVORCED" (or other words of condemnation) with "RIGHTEOUS" in our minds, our hearts, our lives. Praise Jesus for this gift of grace! Thank you, dear sister, for brilliantly - and Victoriously - living in Jesus!
