Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.
I’ll admit my mind is thinking about the Ocean this week. We have a trip coming up to the Gulf, and I’m like a kid waiting for Christmas! The Ocean is my guilty pleasure as we were made for each other. My wife feels the same, which is awesome!
I’m pretty sure I’ve shared Cheryl and I’s plans. We want to get the Ocean permanently, but Cheryl is really close to her family here, so we’re weighing through those thoughts and plans right now with how we can make this work. Either way, we know we’re going to end up by the water soon.
If anything we can begin by making it seasonal. That would mean us having to home school the kids, which I’m definitely in favor of.
Well, Cheryl and I went to a Kenny Chesney concert last Sunday. Tim McGraw, and Zach Brown showed up. We had a great time! It was their “Brothers of the Sun” tour…
I think Jimmy Buffet is going to be here this weekend, but we’re going to miss that one. I hate it, but oh well… Jimmy and I have a similar interest; Sun, Ocean, and Shrimp.
I like to pay attention to the words of songs, to see if there’s real meaning behind them, and typically Jimmy Buffet’s songs have a lot of great analogies and meaning to them. If you can get past the Margarita’s and Daiquiris that help sell the song, you’ll find that Buffet has real intention behind what he’s saying with regards to finding your own paradise, building your boat, setting sail and not looking back, and just losing yourself in the love of life and what you do.
Well Zach Brown played this amazing song last Sunday, and he typically sings it with Buffet, but this time Kenny Chesney sang it with him. The message behind it is incredible! Watch the lyrics video below, and enjoy…
Whether it’s Knee Deep in the water somewhere, or on a Mountain wrestling a grizzly bear;
I wish for you to find yourself and then lose yourself when you come alive in your own paradise!
