Keeping in touch

Hello 48 Days friends. I haven't been in touch for a while but I'm still here. I hope everyone is enjoying the summer. It hasn't rained here in many weeks and the heat has been blistering. I'll have to remember these days when winter arrives. The employment situation has gone from bad to worse to downright dismal but our spirits are still high - hopefully not some sort of denial or mental illness. There's a couple of bright spots ahead but the last few turned out to be train wrecks so I'm keeping an open mind (and keeping the sneakers on in case I need to make a run for it - again). Another birthday coming on Monday and it's a stark reminder that I'm not getting any younger. But I've still got my youthful spirit going for me. But it's never too late to start over is it? That's what might be coming for me soon - a do-over. Time to face reality and start again.
