Today happens to be a Monday and I've been asking people, "Do you dread Mondays?" This simple question has lead to some great conversations among friends and family. If Monday is a day you dread, if it's a day where you have trouble getting out of bed and facing the day, then it's time to take action to make some changes in your life.
That's the message Dan Miller stresses in his books and workshops. Take action. Dreams are wonderful things. So are goals. But both are meaningless if there's no action surrounding them. You're either moving closer to your dreams with every action of every day, or you're frittering away precious minutes of your life away.
I had the wonderful opportunity to talk with Dan earlier this summer:
I recently dove into Dan and Jared's new book, Wisdom Meets Passion:
Living a Life Full of Meaning and Purpose
"Most people die with their music still in them," says the quote from Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. "Why is this so? Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out."
Don't let the time run out on you. Take action.

Comment by Karen Putz on September 27, 2012 at 5:24am Jen, thanks-- I continually remind myself of this especially when I'm in a frittering mode!
Comment by Ann Musico on September 25, 2012 at 8:41am Beautifully and powerfully expressed. At some point we have to stop "getting ready" to do things - and just step out in faith and do them to the best of our ability at that moment.
CLASSIC quote Karen - love it: "You're either moving closer to your dreams with every action of every day, or you're frittering away precious minutes of your life away." VERY powerful!!!
