Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

When I was school around the time my son Nicholas was born, things really got serious for me. I became the Georgia State President and Gwinnett Chapter President of the College version of Decca, called DEX; Delta Epsilon Chi.
I was pursuing a marketing degree, and would enter competitions across the country at these events and conferences to take my school assignments and present them as business ideas. I always came in second place at these events. I literally have a line of second place plaques; always one-short of the winner somehow.
I think I invented the first e-book, kindle, or nook… I called it an E-book, with the Brand logo as EBX. Don’t ask me why it said EBX; I was just trying to name it.
My prototype was made out of the monitors of two broken laptops. I hinged the two monitors together, designed a printed GUI screen for both sides so that it looks a like an electronic page that you can flip to the next one just by pulling the screen down.
The front of it looked really cool as well. It was a real book, but electronic; I kid you not! I had this thing and just knew this was going to be next evolution of books.
No one bought the idea, and as a result, I later didn’t buy into either. I got a second place plaque for my presentation, and a lot of ‘wows’ but that was it.
Well, somebody made good use of this idea that’s for sure. It is now the next big thing! So cool from my chair to see, but it’s kind of one of those, “Man!” and it’s not , “Why didn’t I think of that?” Because I actually did think of it, put it together, and presented it…
I think I just presented it to the wrong people.
Do you have any ideas that you’re sitting on that you feel if you could just get it in front of the right people, you could really make something happen?
