How to Make Social Media and Blogging Work for You

Social media has evolved in the recent past to cater for the needs of everyone. Even if you like to share photographs or share stories and articles, you only need to find the correct social media platform for the same. From Twitter to Facebook and even Instagram, you have so much to choose from. Sharing on social media becomes even better when you integrate it with blogging platforms such as WordPress.

However, some people (especially new users) have cited some challenges they face as they try to navigate their way through this new environment. In this article, these challenges are discussed alongside suggestions on how to overcome them. Creating a WordPress blog has never been this easier.

  • Finding the perfect niche

A challenge that many people who want to start blogging face is finding a topic or idea that is not well covered or not covered at all to pursue. This makes the people over think as they try to pin point a problem to tackle on their blogs. The solution to this is to determine your interests, passion and what you are experienced at. This will give you a topic which you can easily tackle and on which you can share your thoughts easily with your audience.

  • Consistency in posting quality content

Just like for any other marketing task, coming up with quality content for your social media posts can be daunting. Many bloggers burn out as they overwork trying to get ideas on what to post next. This is especially a problem if you blog frequently.

There are many solutions to this challenge. The most commonly sought-out solution is taking some time off to gather some insight about your niche from journals and dailies. This can give you an idea of what to post. You could also have guest bloggers blog for you from time to time to improve the quality of your content. Doing blog interviews is also a solution to this challenge.

  • Reader interaction

A common problem faced by start-up bloggers is the possibility of posting something and getting no feedback from the audience. This problem cuts across most social media networks. The solution to this issue is to try and share your content widely and the take time to respond to feedback posted. When you respond to feedback, others in the audience are encouraged to leave comments on your posts.

  • Generating traffic

More traffic to your blog means more coverage for your content. You can share the link to your blog post on other social networking sites. Sharing your blog posts on social media will work perfectly if you have a great following. This tends to draw the attention of those who don’t know your blog exists. Secondly, guest bloggers tend to draw more attention to your blog since they share the links on their already famous blogs. Thirdly, you can carry out interviews on the blog to have the famous people interviewed share links to your blog, hence attracting traffic. Finally, you can use social media influencers to popularize your blog.

Conclusion

In the past, many people have found it difficult to integrate social media and blogging. With this post, you will find the process easier than you have ever imagined.
