Perhaps they need a visit from Chef Gordon Ramsey.  On his show Kitchen Nightmares, he comes into dying restaurants, diagnoses the problem and shows the owners what they need to do to get their "groove" back.

Thanks Jack, It appears that so many formerly great restaurants have killed the Golden Goose-they skimped on quality and it ultimately caught up to them.
