Joining the Mastermind Revolution has generated a ton of new ideas in my mind as I prepare for my transition from military service to civilian life. Another idea machine has been my participation in groups on 48Days.net and LinkedIn. One such idea was to create a company that hires transitioning military members to do consulting work while they are looking for their dream job. The idea is that people are more likely to be hired while they are working. So many military veterans hope to take some time off after their final tour is completed, but this desire is countered by data that says that if a jobseeker has a significant break in employment their chances of being hired are dramatically lower.

So, here's the niche: transitioning military veterans often want a break before they accept traditional "jobs" but they have incredible experience, training, and talent. My company would enroll these professionals in a consulting business that offers virtual coaching, training, and mentoring. As veteran's join the company, I would market the capabilities that the individual consultants have to offer to the extent that they are interested in accepting projects. For those who were unwilling to accept any projects during their "sabbatical" I would ask them to contribute their experiences to the company blog.

How does the company make money? I see a lot of profit centers and will blog more about them next.

Hi Lee. You have a very interesting concept. It appears that you would have sub coaches similar to subcontractors. You could call yourself "Sub Commander Flint". You could use YouTube to present the bio and potential benefits of each sub coach. I wouldn't think you would need to change your fees to the potential client; just pay the sub coach a portion of the revenues. The difficult part, as I see it, would be maintaining your standard of quality. That would take extra coaching of the sub coaches along with quality checks with the client during the process. That makes sense. Good luck.
