Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

What’s Scarier? Fear or Regret?

A wise man once said, “Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do, than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do, than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

This week, you will be faced with decisions. Should I go to that meeting? Should I go to the gym? Should I throw a dinner party? Should I put my bonus check in savings? Should I look for a new job?

With each decision, ask yourself, what will I regret not doing?

It’s easier today to stay in your miserable job. It’s easier to skip your workout or that party. But what is the implication 20 years from now? Starting this blog was not easy. In fact, putting yourself out there is quite scary. But when I asked myself what I will I regret not doing, I knew I had to move forward.

Here we go. Sailing away from safe harbor. Let’s not forget to enjoy the journey.

How does asking this question change the way you look at the decisions you are faced with? What is one dream that you will commit to pursuing this week?

Always nice to start with the end in mind as that is what will get us through the rough times. Thanks of the reminder.

Excellent question Holly and definitely regret is much worse because it means the opportunity has passed. At least with fear you can still take that step out and whether it is successful or not!
