We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

Do You Have The Energy To Sustain Yourself?

As an entrepreneur or professional, you may be excited about the goals you have written down to accomplish this year. You may be eager to hit the ground running with your action plans. The question now is, “Do you have the energy to sustain yourself and carry out all your plans?”.

I know this might not be what you want to hear as a busy entrepreneur, but how you take care of yourself physically will directly impact your productivity. You must take the necessary time out to eat right. Many of us have a bad habit of thinking if we are constantly working to get tasks done and do not stop for a break that it will help our productivity. But the reality is that when we don’t take care of ourselves our energy is low, we are not as focused, and that will directly impact the length of time it takes you get your work done and impact your productivity.

I know how you feel. For years, I skipped breakfast. I “thought” I did not have time for that nor did I feel like eating first thing in the morning. The reality is that I did have the time; I was choosing to do other things. I had to make it a priority to start eating breakfast every morning. When I did, I could feel the difference because I stayed focused on my work versus focused on my hunger later in the morning. I still do not eat right when I get up, but I do eat as one of the last things before I walk out the door in the morning. By that time, I have been up long enough to be hungry and want to eat. It definitely helps my energy levels. I don’t feel like I am dragging. You will start to see a difference in your focus and energy levels as well when you take the time to eat in the morning.

Read on if you still think you don't have the time.

All my best,

Angela, Thanks for the creative ideas! I drink a protein shake (Animal Whey Muscle Food Chocolate Mint) weekdays. I mix it with nonfat milk. The shake has 25 grams of protein, 1 gram of fat, and 1 gram of sugar. Sometimes I blend fruit in with it. It's been a good solution when I'm running out the door!

I am a big believer in smoothies too Angela. While I practice intermittent fasting most days and have no hunger problems, for many (maybe most?) people, breakfast is so important for that sustained energy and concentration. Great thoughts here.
