Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

As I was thinking of this subject I thought of oxy-morons, jumbo shrimp, pretty ugly, and bitter sweet to name a few.

Could the same thing be said of a Christian democrat. Now I'm not sold on republicans hook line and sinker. Actually some

would say I'm quite illiterate on politics. Here's how I sum up my knowledge on the subject as explained to me by a

fellow worker who happened to be a democrat. Democrats feel like everyone deserves a meal, or housing regardless,

like entitlement, where he says Republican say you should work for what you get, stand on your own two feet.

As a Christian, I'm compassionate. I understand some people were dealt a poor hand and through no fault of their

own. However, I feel those are few and far between. I'm reminded of a story told by a southern Ohio preacher. He was

visiting a local woman who was known to be poor. No indoor plumbing, dirt floors, husband deceased, barely getting

by. He asked her, what would you do if you suddenly came into a large sum of money? Without hesitation she

responded, I suppose I'd give it to the poor! Isn't that incredible, never considering herself to be poor.

I'm fed up with politics in general. I don't watch either party's conventions. Ignore their commercials, don't

answer their phone calls or read their mail. I don't make a habit of watching the national news. I get my

information from life's experiences and especially the Bible.

That gets me back to the Christian democrat. I'm all for compassion but how can a person support a party that

supports abortion and homosexuality.

The Bible tells us we'll all be judged. Even as believers and the fact we recognize Jesus died for our sins, we'll

still give an account for our actions, or lack thereof.

If Jesus asked, how did you vote and why? would that be comfortable, or would you stumble saying, well if I didn't

my taxes might go up or my benefits cut. That may not be the best answer.

Remember, Jesus loves us just the way we are, But he loves us to much to leave us this way.
