I don't know everything...

You don't know everything...

But together we can understand more!!

I haven't always lived under this premise.  In fact for many years I kept a chip on my shoulder and the world at a distance.  It was hard to ask for help or to accept the fact that anyone else knew something I didn't know.  I was independent and determined to fall on my face to prove it.  And I DID!!

More than once...

I proved to myself over and over again that life is more than just ME.  To be a success it has to be US.  The lessons I've learned have been translated into every part of my life.  Mine and my families health is keep topnotch with the help of doctors, nurses and pharmacists we know and trust.  The family finances are kept under control and on track with the help of investment consultants and insurance agents that only have our best interest in mind not their bottom lines.

The moral of my story is that everyone needs the help of someone to achieve everything they want out of life.  Don't be too proud to ask for expert help and don't be too attached to those who are not truly helpful.

Pride can be your worst enemy...

"Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get." -Forest Gump

Being a learner and asking for help is the best way to deal with life's little chocolates.  LOL!!  Thank you ladies for your support.

I totally agree with you Kelly. There's nothing wrong asking help. In fact it's better to ask than to assume that you know everything. It doesn't make you less of a person thus it will make you feel good at it. Thank you for the reminder.

Yes, it is true, I admit that I make this mistake very often.

So very true.  For some of us (I include myself here) it is more difficult than for others to admit we need help and ask for it.  It is MUCH easier to be the one helping! But we do learn fairly quickly how little we really know and that God gave each of us different gifts and strengths because none of us has them all!  We are meant to help each other.
