Are you living out your passion?
It was nice to take a short break from writing and blogging recently. Our book, Living Beyond Rich, went to the layout editor this past week and I am so very excited.
It is packed with wisdom from financial experts from around the country and contains our powerful story of our road to financial freedom. I can't wait to share it with people when it comes out on Amazon at the end of June 2012.
After getting up at 3:30am (central time) this morning to catch a flight back home after attending an intense 3-day conference ( Kent Julian's Speak It Forward Bootcamp) I am plain whooped. Even with being mentally and physically tired, I have to tell you that I am just bursting with excitement over the people I met, the things learned, and experiences had over the past few days. Just the amount of synergy received from being around such passionate people who want to make a difference was extremely powerful.
The experience over the past few days has made me even more jazzed and pumped to use my time, talents, and abilities to help others. My passion around serving people to give them hope, inspiration, and motivation is deep enough to push past my fears, doubts and quite frankly, my comfort zone.
My question to you is...are you living the type of life you want to live? If so, I salute you!
If you feel life is lacking somehow, I challenge you to ponder these three questions:
- What steps are you taking to intentionally live the life you want to live?
- What steps are you taking to intentionally choose what you are learning and experiencing?
- What steps are you taking to intentionally choose who speaks into your life (i.e. friends, role models, councilors, and/or mentors)?
When we intentionally take incremental action steps to follow our dreams is when we find that was was once impossible IS possible.
If you are seeking that passion, I highly recommend the ebook, Passion - 4 places you forgot to look by Joel and Pei Boggess. After reading it, you will feel like you have already started that journey to seek out passion.

Dave, it was GREAT! I can't WAIT to see your amazing show you are going to have. Remember, 3 years and then Kent is claiming it! It is going to be spectacular!! Ahh..thanks for the note on our book. Living Beyond Awesome is on Amazon - it was a totally fun book to write. Living Beyond Rich is due out late June - while I would like to say it was a hoot to write, quite honestly, it was a love/hate relationship by the time it was finished - it was the story on our finance journey so there were times it was difficult to go back to. VERY excited about both books. Thanks for asking!!!

Matthew - your CD is AWESOME!!! Oh my gosh - I had NO CLUE you were so talented in music! I have to admit, it took a few days before I could listen to it...our vehicles are a bit too old for CD players. ha ha. I just can't believe how blessed I am to be teamed up with YOU and your gang!!! Thank you for your kind words on the book - ahhh...your words have me grinning!
Bethany, oh my goodness, it was fun hanging out with you - the lady who just jumps out of planes like it is nothing! I am so glad you got some chuckles out of it - it is totally meant to make people smile and hopefully realize they too can do extraordinary things. You are a gift as well!
Kent, I am reading your first note and I have to say, it was AMAZING to get to meet you. You were even patient when I gave you the "look at my nose" questions. ha ha I can't wait to connect with you over the years too. The Speak It Forward Conference is definitely going to be such a huge starting point for many of us. It is one of those moments in time when you can say "hey, I knew so and so when they were just starting out at Kent's conference." I can't wait to be sitting in the audiences of these awesome speakers from bootcamp! I learned SO MUCH and can't wait to go back next year (this from a person who has only been away from her family three times - yours was one and Dan's Write to the Bank conference was one as well - says a lot for how awesome your conferences are!).

Matthew and Bethany...I didn't get all the way through Jen's book yet, but I'm about 2/3 the way through. I had about 10 books on my "to read" list already in front of her's when she gave it to me, but I just had to browse through it yesterday. Well, browsing turned into reading as her story is well worth the read!
And as Bethany said, I laughed all the way through it. Jen has this amazing energy and enthusiasm, but her stick-to-it-tive-ness is even more amazing. Very inspiring!

Jen. Finished your book at the Airport! It truly was AWESOME! I was cheering you on while I was reading the story. I'm sure people were thinking I was a bit weird as I was smiling from ear to ear, laughing out loud and trying not to cry at a couple of moments. Thanks for sharing. I'm SO happy to be teaming up with you!
