12 Thoughts to Think On for Vision Success

“You are not here merely to make a living. You are here to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, and with finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world. You impoverish yourself if you forget this errand.” Woodrow Wilson

1. God’s desire is that you have a vision that comes from Him and belongs to you personally and not a vision dictated by contemporary society, traditional religion or someone else’s image. When you have a specific vision it will raise a hunger and passion in you like never before. Never underestimate the power of a vision. It will change your life.

2. Many people do not have a clear definition of who they are and they live life in a maze of confusion never living to their full potential. Knowing your purpose provides the direction for your daily living. Your response to God’s purpose for your life is the single most transforming event and all else flows from it.

3. Excuses are self-built roadblocks that keep you from achieving what is possible. Until you stop making excuses, your vision is just a stagnant dream. Stagnant dreams do not produce positive results. When you become serious about making a real commitment to your vision, you will eliminate the excuses and get the job done.

4. Most people allow challenges to stop them from living their vision. The key is to learn from your challenges and move forward. Life’s challenges can make you stronger, give you the motivation to push through pain and prepare you for victory. Do not run from life’s challenges because without them there is no real success.

5. Setting specific goals will help you determine your priorities, get organized, make sound decisions and move your vision into action. A goal that is worth pursuing is not something that anyone can easily talk you out of attempting. If you miss a goal, don’t quit, reset it and get back to work!

6. If you are in a negative situation that is causing you pain maybe it is time take a fresh look at yourself; discover who you are, define where you want to be, develop a clear plan of action and move forward.

7. There are no dress rehearsals for the performance we call life. We get one chance to perform our life’s symphony. No one delivers a perfect performance. We can expect to miss a note or two, but we should all strive to learn, grow and improve.

Becoming our best is more about the journey than the destination. There are plenty of critics in the world, but do not let them stop you from delivering a performance that makes a difference. Remember, you are the conductor of your own attitude.

8. George Washington Carver said, “No individual has any right to come into the world and go out of it without leaving behind him distinct and legitimate reasons for having passed through it.” If you want to have this kind of impact then you must determine in your mind to make it happen.

Sitting around complaining, making excuses and playing the blame game will only leave you with a legacy of would’ve, could’ve and should’ve been. Get to work and leave a legacy that will transform the next generation.

9. Ignore the naysayers and doubters. Don’t allow people who have not walked in your shoes and who have not been through what you have been through talk you out of living your vision.

Don’t let their pessimistic attitude and negative outlook influence you to hold back on living your best life. If God gives you a vision, you have a right to go after it. Let your mind flow in creativity. Let your mouth speak life. Let your unique gifts rise to the fore front. Let your vision live.

10. Spend more time with positive and productive people. The people you spend your time with will have a great impact on your life’s direction. If you hang around doubting, complaining and cynical people, you will become cynical, a doubter and complainer. Does your attitude towards life reflect the company you keep? Start spending time with positive, productive and purposeful people.

Your relationships should help you, not hinder you. Surround yourself with people who reflect the person you want to be. Choose people you admire, who love and respect you, who challenge you to grow and who helps you become the person God design you to be.

11. You will always have people who dislike you. Jesus healed the sick, opened blind eyes and raised the dead and he was still hated by people. If he was hated then you might as well come to grips that everyone will not like you.

No matter what you do, you can’t please everyone. So you might as well focus on becoming the person God designed you to be. Don’t let what others think and say determine your destiny. The decision is yours to live your best life, whether people like you or not.

12. Don’t believe God is going to wave a magic Holy wand and all of your dreams will come true. In order for your dreams to become reality, you must make an unwavering commitment to put feet to your faith. Stop dreaming and start acting.

What a powerful blog Bernard!  "Excuses are self-built roadblocks that keep you from achieving what is possible." Just those comments along are enough for a whole blog post. You totally summarize what all of us should remember when we feel like giving up. Thank you for writing this...it was really, really awesome!!
