This was a truly fascinating article on Dr. Mercola’s site talking about the real cause of heart attacks. We constantly hear about the dangers of high cholesterol, high blood pressure and obesity. In truth, balance is the…Continue
Dan surprised me with a gift of a book he thought I might enjoy reading because it tied into what I am writing about these days. It's called Happier At Home by Gretchen Rubin. This morning I was reading about the importance of possessions. We are all familiar with the "Money can't buy happiness!" phrase that people extol when referring to someone's materialistic attitude. Rubin agrees with that truth and so do I. However, she goes on to talk about all the things…Continue

I am not one to tell you who or what you need to believe in. By belief, I am referring to our higher power. For someone like me who has a tendency to want to control situations, believing in a higher power relinquishes me from trying to get involved in every detail of mine and others lives.

So we are given heavy medications to either put us asleep or make us numb to the pain. We have to be careful about wanting to be numb all through life and avoiding pain.
