Life is Too Short!

Back when I first started blogging, I recall an instance where someone questioned my credibility as a writer. The comment was: "What makes you an expert on anything?"

At first I was crushed. Then I realized I had either hit a nerve with someone or maybe they were jealous.

Sincerely,

Jim Carver

But the "benefits" are great Daily Insights - July 6, 2010

No job can be labeled a “good job” if it is not good for you. -jb

As she was telling me about the mismatch between her values, and those of leadership at the organization in which she worked, I could clearly hear the labored sighs of exhaustion and frustration under her voice.

She told me about the episodes of waking up in the middle of the night and worrying about if whether or not she would have a job there much…

My Boss Is Satan’s Offspring

My Boss Is Satan’s Offspring

No, I really didn’t make that up. As usual, the rich life stories I hear in working with people in transition offer enough real anecdotes that I don’t have to be very creative in finding phrases that colorfully describe real situations.

In anticipation of meeting with me, a very “successful” young lady wrote this in her pre-coaching form: “My company is going in a strictly money-motivated direction, and my manager may very well be… Continue
