The Faith-Based Millionaire Creed

The Faith-Based Millionaire Creed

I wrote recently about the faith-based millionaire mindset and how those who have faith and are millionaires think differently than the general population. Taking it one step further leads us to the Faith-Based Millionaire Creed. A creed, according to American Heritage Dictionary, is “a formal statement of religious belief; a confession of faith or a system of belief, principles, or opinions.” I found that it is quite fitting to set in motion… Continue

You Can Have Your Steak, and Abs Too

I happened to catch part of a news story on tv last night that I couldn't help but sit down to watch. A plastic surgeon was claiming to give people six-pack abs with no effort on their part. One of his quotes was, "you can have your steak, and your abs too." He went on to say that many people want chiseled abs but do not want to put in the effort that's required to get them. By going in for plastic surgery, you don't have to do any of the work yourself!

How well do you think this… Continue

Don't Fake it E-lance it

I just went out to elance to do some research and lo and behold I found a network marketer out there listing projects. I found this person within 5 clicks.

Here are some excerpts of their project descriptions.

"I'm looking for a person to write (on my behalf), 4 articles per month on the subjects of wealth creation, network marketing tips, and home business opportunities for professionals & entrepreneurs........"

"Research and recommend the top 100 web-sites… Continue

There Goes the Ferarri...

Do you remember the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? If you haven’t seen it, Ferris, a high school senior plays sick in order to pursue a day filled with fun on the town. As part of the plot, he convinces his nervous hypochondriac friend Cameron to “borrow” his father’s prize possession – a newly restored 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California for their day off. Knowing Cameron’s Dad keeps track of mileage on the car, Ferris promises to erase any… Continue

$114 Billion Industry

According to a survey taken in September 2008 by the World Federation of Direct Selling the direct selling industry is worth 114 billion dollars. $30.8 billion of that money is made here in the United States.

One of the biggest concerns people have when discussing the direct selling industry is weather the business format is a scam. I can assure you that the business model is not only very sound but also very profitable. It is profitable to the organizations that employ the business… Continue

Can Seth Godin Change The Way Publishing Works?

In a remarkable move sure to make Tribes one of the best selling audio books ever, Seth Godin announced today that his new book, Tribes: We Need You To Lead Us, is available as an UNABRIDGED audiobook on iTunes for less than a dollar.

The Faith-Based Millionaire Mindset

Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

After going through the process of aligning your values with your finances, you may begin to discover and wrestle with questions you’d never before pondered. You will begin to get a glimpse into the mind of the faith-based millionaire. The mind-set of the faith-based millionaire often differs greatly from the mind-sets of others I have counseled. To help you further gauge your mind-set, here are a few foundational questions:

• Do you have… Continue

Long Form Sales Letter

What is the value of a long sales letter?

According to an article written by Joel Comm in FeedFront magazine October 2008 long form sales letters just work. He quotes a study by Marketing Experiments Journal stating that the long form sales letters outperform Short copy, sometimes as much as 400%.

Joel has also had experiences where the long form sales letter had conversion rates as high as 70%. A conversion rate is taking the visitors to a site and… Continue

Your Most Important Asset

Your health is the most important thing you have available to you. I probably don't need to say anything more about this, because I think it's a pretty bold statement that speaks for itself. But I will say more, because I am passionate about helping people live their best life possible.

We spend thousands of dollars on education to improve our minds. We spend years trying to figure out what kind of work we want to do for the rest of our lives. And yet we usually don't get a second… Continue

Best Buy just lost my business!

So, I was returning a desktop computer to Best Buy the other day and the event ended with me saying, "Sorry, but I have no reason to shop here anymore." I had issues with the new computer and figured I really didn't want to start with a computer that is already giving me problems. That was the main reason I was returning the computer. I was asking for my money back on some "optimization" that was done to the computer and they responded with a big “NO”.

I then relayed the message that… Continue

Joe the Plumber - Part 2: Attack the Guy Holding a Wrench and A Dream

Poor Joe! You ask a reasonable question and you have a bullseye on you back.

Yesterday I wrote about Joe the Plumber who was mentioned over 20 times in the Presidential Debate on Wednesday evening. Since then the media has been attacking this guy because he dare I say – still believes in the American Dream! Oh no…we better stone him! He doesn’t want to spread the wealth around. He’s not Robin Hood! He criticized Barack “The… Continue

Joe the Plumber, the Slippery Slope, and "YOU" - the Business Owner

As business owners, we need to vote our values, select a president that will help aid our ailing economy, and protect us business owners. Did you watch the debate last night? Joe the Plumber was the star of presidential debate. He was mentioned over twenty times throughout the debate. Here is a guy who last weekend showed up to meet Barrack Obama in his small town of Holland, Ohio and became an overnight celebrity. Joe, a tall, bald man… Continue

Is the Current Economic News Totally Freaking You Out?

Oh my gosh, you'd have to have your head under a rock (or somewhere else)
not to be at least somewhat aware of what's going on in the economy lately.

Subprime mortgages. Failing financial institutions (including the largest bank failing…

Group Leader
"Be the change you wish to see in the world"

It seems that this quote is determined to be set in my mind lately. Five times in the past week this quote has appeared somewhere in emails, website, on a friend's wall in her house... Ghandi makes it clear--you want change? BE the change! My other favorite quote is a longer one, but falls along the same lines:

“When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed

of changing the world.

As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change,…

Are you in a funk?

I was visiting with my good friend Joanne last night. We were talking about those times when you're in a funk and you can't seem to shake out of it. Your goals are cloudy, your motivation is confused at best. You know where you want to go but can't seem to get your stuff together to head there.

Sometimes a good night sleep helps. Other times, we both agreed that folks can get trapped in this for extended periods of time. And the latter can be detrimental if it's affecting your cash… Continue
