We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

Healthy Weight Loss: Nutritional GPS

I watched Joel Osteen recently and he spoke about how God creates miracles from mistakes. He used the GPS in the car to illustrate how God will redirect you over and over again until you finally follow His directions.

Interestingly my daughter and I had just driven to Connecticut for my daughter in law’s baby…

The Heart of Sibling of a Special Needs Child

The Heart of Sibling of a Special Needs Child

When we were thrust into this arrangement nearly 15 years ago without warning we were quite concerned as Matthew spent his first month of life in the hospital. And, now that Isaac is nearly 4 years old we have been taken to yet another level of focus and care, we have relaxed. Things do work out.…

Nutrition: Food Additive Causing Your Food Allergy?

We all know someone with a food allergy. I know several children who have peanut allergies and one who is allergic to eggs. Whenever there is a severe food allergy you have to be hyper-vigilant about every food you come in contact with.

A New Creation

Last Night I did my new presentation on what may be my favorite verse in all of Scripture, 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone and the news has come." I was trying to think of a good painting to do with it. I've already done butterflies and frogs exploring the…

30 Second Tip – Get More Done by Setting a Timer for the Task

You can get more done by setting a timer when working on tasks.  So how does setting a timer do this?  Wouldn’t having a timer be an impediment by forcing you to stop after the time is up?  Not all at.

By setting a timer before you start working on a task, it allows you to get more done by zeroing in your focus.  Say one of your goals for the day is to organize your closet, and you want to spend an hour working on it before you have to get to another commitment for the day.  Setting…

Do You Have a Board or a Bored?

It’s difficult to keep your board involved between meetings. Some show up for the monthly or quarterly meeting, some just can’t quite make it that day. It’s the nature of the non-profit board. So, sometimes you have a bored instead of your board. It’s not from a lack of desire, it’s from a lack of engagement.

It's not all about email -- get on the phone

There are many benefits to email, one of them being that it’s asynchronous communication. You can send an email now and get your response when it’s most convenient for the receiver. You can batch process them and use email templates to make answering them faster.

How Much Does God Love You?

How could anyone ever doubt Abraham’s love for God after he offered up his only son Isaac to Him? Here’s a more personal question: how could we ever doubt God’s love for us when He offered up Jesus?

Thoughts on inspiration

Last night I got to do my new message called inspiration. As many of my regular readers know, I believe waiting for inspiration is a terrible idea (most of the time) I believe we need to seek it out and occasionally hunt it down. We need to seek God and believe that He will speak. Inspiration (at least the…
