Choose Your Own Adventure- The Mystery of the Woman Keeping Atlanta Safe from the Zombie Horde

Welcome to the next installment of the Choose Your Own Adventure profiles I'll be doing at drdavidpowers.com.

My focus in life and business is to seek adventure, but that may not mean what you're thinking. Most people think adventure only refers to danger and excitement, but it doesn't have to. My intent with these interviews is to show that adventure can be wherever you find something new and different.

Meet actress Amber Dawn Fox,…

Clean Your Office

Hi There,

Seems like everyone I talk to lately remarks on how badly they need to clean their work space. It’s easy to let things get out of hand.  Files piled everywhere.  Books that need to be shelved or even potentially shared. Office supplies stashed everywhere.  Even personal items that need to be put away.  It didn’t happen over night.  Instead, little by little the clutter took over the work world like a kudzu vine.

I recently took on a major office overhaul myself.  Here…

Living in Your Designer Genes

You have designer genes.I am sure of it. Everyone does, but like most people, I really didn’t discover mine in a way I imagined I would.

What are designer genes?

It might be a skill that comes so naturally you barely realize its uniqueness.

It might be an obsessive passion that distracts you or a talent that comes out in every situation.

Or those designer genes might lead you to a much desired goal fulfilling a dream.

Your designer genes can be quiet and…

30 Second Tip – Have a Cleaning Supplies Bag

Many people will leave cleaning supplies under the kitchen and bathroom counters.  But often this results in multiple bottles (glass cleaner in each area, multiple toilet cleaning bottles, bleach wipes in each area, etc), extra sponges, and increased clutter.  Not to mention the cleaning supplies tend to be down in a lower area where younger hands could inadvertently get into them!

My solution –

30 Second Tip – Organizing Your Closet Hangers

If you are like my husband, every time you finish laundry you end up digging through all the clothes in your closet, trying to find empty hangers to put your clean clothes back on.  This results in either 1) frustration from it taking too long to find them, or 2) not finding enough and running out of hangers before you run out of clothes.

My solution is simple –

The Answer

Well I'm back from all my travels and it has been a great time but now we get back to work. So here's where I'm at. I get back to reality, and I start to see all the stuff I missed on social media and of course I have all these opinion and some of the folks are saying stuff that seems, quite frankly, asinine and there is part of me that wants to pick it apart and fight about it. I have my own opinions, they're almost always right (okay that's humor, but I didn't think they were right, they…

Taking Over the Faith and Fandom Podcast

Me and my good friend Hector Miray hijacked a bench area in the shade on the playground to record a podcast together last week. Sure, a few kids were crying as we shooed them away, but we had a blast.

Of course, it's easy to have a good time when the podcast host hands you a Viking drinking horn as a gift the second you get there.

Many thanks to Hector Miray for having me on his Faith and Fandom podcast. I hope you enjoy listening to…

Doubtbusters: Changing Your Mindset

Hello!

I’m not good enough…

If they really knew me…

Everyone else does it better…

I’m not worthy…

We all have it.  The fear of being seen.  Not a fear of being seen in our latest contrived photo-shopped selfie on Facebook.  Not a fear of being seen in our latest story of  “I’m the greatest” as we rail on about the ailments of our society and how things would be different if we were in charge.  Instead, our fear of being seen is that primal fear…
