Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love
We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.
But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.
48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.
If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.
In scarcity terms there is one and only one subjective person that can make a claim to one's own person and as a matter of fact that same person has knowledge that is unique and subjective. This 'ownership' is what can be regarded as a human right and all human rights are property rights just like all property rights are human rights.

Clarity. It's something I've been seeking, but the more I strive for it, the more confused I have become. Thirteen years ago I started out sharing my testimony of God's continual faithfulness towards me after my son's death. I enjoyed this and thought I would always speak to Christian audiences encouraging them to seek God even in their most disappointing experiences. But then I was naughty, really naughty. I asked for a divorce. I was reminded over and over again how much God HATES…Continue

In addition to "where have you been?" I have also heard "I haven't seen much from you lately" and "Are you still doing food reviews?" In the book that I am writing, I share the experience of getting a call from a restaurant regarding a review that I had posted. Honestly, I didn't even know how many people were following the blog--analytics were never my strong suit. Lately I have heard from people wondering where I have been.
In 2011, I started the blog as an online journal. In that…Continue

Have you ever driven in fog? Not just a little fog, but a fog that is so thick you can only see about three seconds in front of your car? The kind of fog that you think, “anything could appear in front of me and I will scream”.
I had a chance to do this one day with work. The only problem, it was not just a quick drive. I drove for three hours across the…Continue

It is an honor for me to have my dear friend and colleague, Ray Edwards, back on the program this week. I have been following Ray and his work for over 18 months, and have come to not only respect him as a business leader, but truly honor him as a man of God. Ray and I met last year at the Platform Conference, and we both knew immediately that our meeting was a divinely inspired…Continue

A couple of months ago, I read this article by my friend Sarah Moore. It’s a great read, and it addresses the top 6 things that people who are successful DON’T do. I recommend it. I wanted to explore it a little further. I struggle with most of the things she mentions, as do a lot of…Continue
Failure. It’s what we dread. It’s what we are afraid of. No one wants to work extremely hard at something to have it fail. This fear of failure is what we allow to hold us back from big successes. With every big win, there were also big losses. We celebrate everyone’s big wins. We love victorious stories. We all want the pain free path of minimal resistance.
The truth is, it is the trial that makes us strong. It is the failure that teaches us the…Continue

If there’s one frustration I hear more than any other from people working toward finding work they love, it’s that they don’t have the clarity they want in their career. They get stuck because they know they don’t like where they are now but they’re just not sure what the best next step is for themselves.
If you’re one of those people, you’re in luck.…Continue

The pitcher winds-up, the pitch, oh it’s a beauty right down the center of the plate! You think to yourself, this could be a souvenir for someone standing out in the parking lot, but wait, the coach said to lay a bunt down the third baseline. The temptation is there to do what you think is right, however the coach was very specific in what he wanted you to do. Sound familiar? We are constantly being tempted to do what we want and feel is right, while ignoring what is being asked of us.…Continue
