in the back of your vehicle (not in the trunk)...This kit should include the following:…Continue

A Major Setback
Mark: I had started running on the Canadian fleet and the classes at “The Place” were starting soon. I had thought that it would be impossible for me to make it. Today is my birthday -- not necessarily an exciting event, because I've now reached the ripe old age of 49 -- so, the celebratory aspect of today is not the point of my post here.
My day began about an hour ago, and now that lunches are made, hubby and the teenager are off to work and school, dogs and cats are fed, laundry is going, and the dishwasher is unloaded, I've sat down at my computer to finish my cup of coffee. I opened up my e-mail to find a beautiful assortment of…Continue

Need a little drama in your life? Is it about flippin’ time you got some care and attention?
Never fear! I’ve compiled a short list of how you, yes…you, can finally get some peace and quiet, by having a nervous breakdown! This list is especially for homeschool mamas but I’m sure there’s broader application.
Prozac and shock therapy here we come! (Results may vary. Please consult your mental health care provider before beginning any new nervous breakdown…Continue

Today, I'm in Des Moines, IA for a conference. As I walked to the YMCA in the morning, I was reminded of the past. The past when I lived in Ukraine....when I would walk through the snow on a regular basis to get to a bus stop or a metro stop.
Thinking of this brought back fond memories for me.
When I was in the YMCA, I saw…
