Sailing Free…..Those 2 words paint such a picture.  I’m listening to Jeff Black singing his song “Same Old River”.  I have loved his music for a very long time. His voice is filled with soul, his lyrics are an example of “true” art.  Before I knew my own mind about that, I knew Jeff was living in the heart of it.  So, I’m listening to him.  I am letting the music dance around inside me while the lyrics keep me upright.  Finding art is part of what keeps me breathing. It is reason enough to…See More

Think on what is good and pure and lovely…..I am a thinker.  My earliest conscious thoughts are memories of wandering around our tiny farm, making up stories and songs and sometimes feeling so thankful, I would cry. The way my mind processes story is first through image.  I get a picture in my mind which triggers words. I remember carefully studying a milkweed pod, its pristine white fibers popping out for the wind to take away on some adventure.  And I remember telling God he had done an…See More

This is a hangout for creatives to share and explore ideas that create better art and more of it.  This is a place for the daydreamers, artists, musicians, and writers. We are the "round pegs in square holes" who trust intuition and serendipity over rules and dogma and we will never sell out.  We believe art is sacred and life is too short not to follow our passion.  We reject the “starving artist” mentality because we accept our uniqueness and value our creative works that make the world a…See More

TRUSTING YOU - 8X8 - acrylic on board

Relationship offers, among many other things, sanctuary.  Every honest relationship makes us a part of a safety net for others and for ourselves.  Honesty is one key.  When we are vulnerable and accountable to others, we open ourselves to new possibilities.  With trial and error at times, we find out who we really are.  We give…

Nothing compares with the first moment of awareness of how tiny we are in this universe.   Our lives, like all stories, are made up of individual moments. Moments that we live through with very little awareness of our surroundings.

My Dad was a farmer.  Our home was in the country several miles from a small town in South Dakota.  There were no streetlights, only the night sky.  One moonless night, as my mother and I walked the quarter mile home from our…

Hi Dorsey, Such a pleasure to meet you at the Sanctuary in March for the Innovate Conference. I was in Park City, Utah this past weekend and was hoping to see some of your work. The Thomas Anthony Gallery was closed. I was peeking in the window hoping to catch a glimpse. It was a real letdown but I will be back there again soon.

Thanks again,

Hello Dorsey,

I try to take time each week to welcome new members to 48Days.Net. So, let me say "welcome" to you! I know you will find this to be a great site filled with people who are experiencing true success in both life and work.

I'd like to point out that one of the best places to connect with other liked-minded people here is in the GROUPS section. There are groups for just about every interest you can think of, and if you can't find a group that interests you, you can start one. Groups are my favorite part of 48Days.Net!

Finally, it sounds like you are interested in writing. If so, consider joining the Write It Forward. There are some great discussions going on that will likely be very profitable for you.

Plus, you might want to check out Speak It Forward as well. It's another group I'm involved with that has a lot of activity taking place.

Again, enjoy 48Days.Net. It's a great place to be!

Live it forward,
Kent Julian

Hi Dorsey!

Just stopping by to welcome you to the amazing 48days community!

I’m a long time member here, who truly believes in the 48 days vision and this community. I can truly testify that the power behind this community is the reason for my success and business. So whenever I can, I like to reach out to see who I can help. If you have any questions, or you start feeling overwhelmed right off the bat, because there is just so much great content, discussions, and just lots of great stuff happening, feel free to reach out and let me know! I would love to help guide you here.

A great place to start is right on that front page, and look at the main sections that are present and showing what’s happening.

Be sure to pay attention to the “Where to Start Guide” on the upper left side of home page as well. If you have questions, and don’t know where to begin, you can always ask me, any of the 48 Days Advisors, and you can always just post a discussion on the home page forum.

Many blessings on your journey, and by all means… Enjoy the adventure!
