Your place for community & resources to find or create work you love

We are so glad you're here and ready to take the next step! We created 48days.net as a place for community. For people to encourage each other and help each other in finding or creating work that is meaningful.

But frankly, we've outgrown it, so we're moving to provide you new resources.

48Days.net will be closing as it is today on November 30, 2017. Until then current members can click the button below to access groups and resources.

If you're new to 48days.net, connect here for a close up look at our thriving 48 Days Eagles Community and to get weekly free resources and motivation as you find and create work you love.

How did you hear about 48Days.NET, and what do you hope to get out of being a part of this community?
I heard about 48 Days from Dave Ramsey. My hope is that I will be around people that will help me grow as a leader, business owner, and overall person. Hopefully as I grow and learn I can help others grow through my experiences.
What is your current work situation? Employee, self-employed, generating any income on your own?
I am still a full time employee in the IT world, but now I can finally say I am also a business owner. I have now owned and operated a used car dealership for a little over a year and a half and truly love the business.
And then...what is your goal/dream for your work life?
I own and operate an used car dealership with a mechanic and detail section full time. I have an online platform that makes us the go to people when looking for a used car.
How about your personal life? Any specific goals or achievements or dreams you are pursuing (or want to pursue)?
- I currently own a two family home with my wife and 2 kids. My youngest just recently started school so my wife has decided to pursue her life long dream of learning cosmetology (paying with cash - Thanks Dave)

- We would like to move into a 1 family home with great public schools for the kids. Hopefully in 5 years I will be full time in my business and my wife would be starting her new salon. We hope to have businesses that our children would like to work at so we can have the entire family working together.

- As our business grows and allows us to allocate time as we see fit we would love start hosting more programs in church around improving our church peoples lives. Classes like FPU and 48Days
- Lastly a personal goal I set this year is to read the bible chronologically which I am well on my way of achiving
What would you say are your strongest talents? How are you 'wired' and what can you offer to the world (it's OK if you don't know yet, but knowing is key to pursuing your dreams!)?
- I am a quick thinker, I rarely find my self stuck in a situation that I can't find answers to. The answers are not always the correct ones, but I give it a try.
- I am not to concerned with the details, but more with the big picture. (My brother hates this as he is in IT as well and when he calls me to discuss details he knows I am almost never paying attention)
- I many times don't make decisions in advance which my wife hates. I can say yest to something and worry about it when we have to. Picking a restaurant becomes a big conversation in our family as I can wait till I am on the street with 20 of them in front of me and then say great lets eat Mexican, and the next second I would say hey that burger spot looks good lets go there. Very frustrating for people making plans with me, but hey it's how I am wired.
- I have a nickname in the group I am in, which is "rainbow and butterflies"because very little bothers me and I don't hold any grudges. I am the glass half full and try to see the good in all situations
Do you have a website presence anywhere?
If you have a product or service to promote (now or in the near future) this is your shot to state it! Say all you'd like:
We buy and sell cars..... Simple right - NO, I love looking for cars and can spend hours a day doing research on different cars which means you don't have to. If there is a car you need and we don't have it we can try our very hardest to get it. Now because of our very low overhead, and access to hundreds and thousands of auctions , dealers, and wholesalers we can bring a retail ready car at a private party price saving you time and money, yes I said it time and Money......

More Damage or Less Damage, which is the better deal?

Posted on May 27, 2016 at 8:33pm 0 Comments

My last two car purchases were theft recovery cars from an insurance company.  I ended up paying more than I would pay for a damaged car that needed body work, but because it needed less work.  Installing seats and a radio seemed like a better deal since you did not have to pay a body shop guy to pull and paint your car.  I ended up paying more money for these cars, but find that I am not getting the return on investment I thought I would.  Customers don't really see the value in having to…

Happy New year

I had all of the good intentions of writing all my goals out. I got as far as the scratch paper and never formally organized my goals and plans, but do plan on doing it this week. One of the goals I am working on is to formally organize my business accounting practices. I have been using excel and as tax…

I am Going Nuts.....

So this journey of finding my passion has been exciting and frustrating all at the same time.

I took a close look at what I have been doing in the years I have spent on this earth and have determined I do want to be an entrepreneur. After reading books like E-Myth and No More Mondays I know I want to take a run at…

Has anyone started a business teaching Dave's stuff?
I have pulled my self out of debt with his teachings and love his way. I have introduced his stuff to so many people and feel it's a big blessing, but I don't know how to go about turning this passion I have for this stuff into income. Any thoughts?
