Time to begin

Finally move in to our new home.... taking a break from finishing up my taxes. I finally announced that I will have the first 5 weekly lessons of a Kanji subscription course ready by the end of May.    As I'm writing these lessons, based on the book "Remembering the Kanji"  I'm trying to figure out how to send out this course, which must begin anew with each subscriber.    Thinking of charging $1 per lesson per week.  The book has 54 lessons in book 1.    Thoughts I've been pondering,do I…See More

Thursday Thai Curry

Thursday came and I headed out to Lulu's Asian Noodles to have lunch with a couple of friends.  we've helped each other network and have decided on a monthly meeting to catch up with each other.  Ended the meal, sped home to meet my husband at the realtor's office.... we just bought a house with an office for me.    So this is  getting real.  Our first mortgage payment is May 1.... I have savings, but I'd rather have some clients.    Well, I have an office at least...See More

Spring break continues....Yesterday I had lunch with an instructor from the Bloch (as in H&R Block) School of Management at UMKC.   He also has a global consulting company.  we had a great chat about our international lives and organizations to get involved in.  He's on the board for the International Relations Council here in town as well.  I came away from the meeting with a better game plan for meeting other internationally minded companies who may "know a guy who knows a guy working…See More

Hard to get motivated when you have the flu

Or at least I think it is the flu.  My little daughters and I are not feeling our best.  Sort of the day you just want to stay in bed, snuggle and nap.   So that is what I did.  Tomorrow (Thursday) I'm off to teach at the university.  Perhaps I'll be able to get something done in the afternoon.  This Achy Body though doesn't feel like doing much though.See More

It's a new week! Where is my motivation?

How many cups of coffee does it take to get me motivated today?  Packing up our home to move in two weeks and doing the laundry seem to creep into the space I normally have carved out for business today.    Saturday was so much fun.  I was honored to be a part of the planning committee for a Japanese Language Contest.  I had supplied the t-shirt artist, photographer, and videographers from the ranks of my university students and enjoyed seeing them work their magic.   I was introduced to…See More
