I have been working on www.beatnikbudget.com for about 4 months now. Before that I had another site for about a year. My wife and I are building a new site that we are really excited about. It has a similar focus as your site. www.HisPlusHersEqualsOurs.com This site should be ready to launch within the next four weeks.

I am working on a transcript which I will probably use to test KDP vs. publishing with several different online publishers (createspace, pubit, snmashwords, etc) to see which is more profitable long-term. I also have 3 other outlines just waiting to be written
